Tough guy Sheriff Grady Judd triggered by flying bouncy panties at forced-birth event

Meanwhile, DeSantis-backed, self-reported felon School Board Member Rick Nolte continues to enjoy complete immunity and silence from the Polk sheriff and state attorney.

It’s hard to even know where to start with PantyGhaziGate.

So let me just open with this fact: America’s fakest tough guy sheriff, Polk County’s Grady Judd, got provoked last week into a multi-day felony womanhunt for an anti-forced birth activist accused of tossing a balled-up item of women’s underwear near one of his deputies, Capt. Billy Strickland, who was a “guest” at a forced-birth event.

Judd’s office claims the activist, named Bonnie Patterson-James, committed felony battery on a law enforcement officer because Strickland claims the rounded panty projectile touched him on the leg. Meanwhile, Lakeland Police officers, who were actually hired to provide security, sanely and rationally looked on without criminal concern. (Yeah, read that all again. You have to work through it.)

Moreover, when one peers through the fog of lingerie, it appears that Strickland claims the weaponized panties bounced into him. See this video for immediate aftermath of the panty mortar’s detonation.

I’ve been married a long time. I have some experience with women’s underwear. (I know, TMI; but so is this whole stupid story) I have yet to encounter any panties, in my entire life, made of bouncy rubber or similar material. So I have some physics questions concerning the bounce I’d like to see adjudicated, should this felony arrest ever come to trial.

And strangely, despite all this intense law enforcement activity, tough guy showboat Sheriff Judd has yet to hold any big press conferences about it. He hasn’t warned all of you women with your weaponized panties that burly Polk County men “like their guns” and he’s “highly recommending they blow you back out” of your underwear if you toss thongs at them.

I wonder why that is.

Felony for thee, panty-wielder, but not for DeSantis’ guy “T.I.T.S.” Nolte

But I want to flag two excerpts from it:

The first is some smack talk from Rep. Jennifer Canady, R-Brutal Forced Birth. I documented her pathological lying about the forced birth law she sponsored here and here. (That law is so brutal and stupid and woman-hating that even pussy-grabbing, legally-liable for sex abuse Donald Trump calls it too extreme.) Anyway, here’s Canady on Grady’s multi-day womanhunt:

Here are some facts — you have every right to voice your opinion, but you have no right to assault a law enforcement officer," Canady said in a text message. "Here in Polk County you can expect criminal activity to be met with criminal charges. I’m thankful that we have a Sheriff and law enforcement leaders in this region who enforce the rule of law. Our whole community is grateful for their service.

And then there’s this from Sheriff’s Office spokesman Scott Wilder.

PCSO deputies have the authority to make arrests for crimes that occur anywhere in the county, spokesperson Scott Wilder said.

“The Polk County Sheriff’s Office supports peaceful protest across the board,” Wilder said in an email. “When either side of an issue begins throwing things at others, the protest is no longer peaceful. We will take enforcement action when that occurs in our jurisdiction and in our presence. If someone unlawfully throws something and it hits a law enforcement officer in our presence, we will take enforcement action every time.”

It’s funny — Wilder was asked a few months ago why the Sheriff’s Office refuses to investigate or arrest Ron DeSantis-endorsed Polk School Board Member Rick Nolte for the campaign felony he reported in writing. Wilder answered like this, according to Gary White:

Since submitting the complaints about Nolte, Townsend has publicly questioned why the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office for the 10th Judicial Circuit have not taken action. Scott Wilder, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office, said that PCSO is not investigating Nolte and that state agencies enforce campaign-finance laws.

LOL. What Scott means to say is PCSO deputies “have the authority to make arrests for crimes that occur anywhere in the county” unless they would embarrass Ron DeSantis and Grady Judd. And Jennifer Canady has nothing to say about Nolte, the self-declared felon allied with her.

And I just want to remind you why I call Nolte, “T.I.T.S.” Nolte:

Who do you think is a bigger threat to our community — this gross DeSantis-backed dude, who self-reported a campaign felony and gets to roam your daughter’s middle school unattended? Or the anti-forced-birth ladies with the funny hair and the weaponized panties?

Be honest.

Some questions the Sheriff’s Office won’t ever answer

Grady’s vast media operation, in a shining example of its endless tough guy bravery, long ago stopped answering the questions I ask of it. But I wanted to get these questions on the record so the public can see what the tough guy Grady ignores.

You’ll see that questions 2, 3, and 4 are quite serious. If you’re pregnant, or planning to get pregnant, Canady and Judd are looking at your body as a crime scene in waiting. They should answer how exactly they plan to adjudicate every miscarriage as murder or not murder.

But they won’t.

I copied Grady Judd himself on these questions by the way, but addressed them to Wilder, who I have known and liked for a very long time. He’s better than this; but everybody’s gotta eat, I guess:

Hi Scott:

1) Can you describe the injuries or pain that Deputy Strickland suffered from the panty projectile? Did it leave a mark? Was he forced to seek treatment? Does he need the public's help recovering from his wounds? Is he seeking counseling for the trauma of the experience?

2) How is the sheriff planning to enforce the Canady/DeSantis ban? For instance:

A) Is there a special pregnancy intelligence/enforcement unit operating/planned?

B) Does Marilyn Paul's center contact you with information about its clients? What information have they provided to you in the past?

C) Does Lakeland Regional Health or local OB-GYN providers inform you of each new pregnancy? Will you require that in the future?

3) What it is the precise process a 13-year-old rape/incest victim must follow to receive Sheriff Judd's blessing to end a pregnancy? Is this procedure published somewhere? If so, I'd like to request it. 

4) Why Scott, if "PCSO deputies have the authority to make arrests for crimes that occur anywhere in the county, spokesperson Scott Wilder said," did you say in the past that the Sheriff's Office won't take any action against Rick Nolte for his self-declared campaign felonies because a state agency supposedly handles that?

I want to add another question.

Are we supposed to believe a sheriff’s deputy just happened to pull over the anti-forced-birth activist on the Polk Parkway (where I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone pulled over) for changing lanes without a signal two days after the incident?

Right, sure, what a coincidence.

Or is it far more likely the Sheriff’s Office wasted actual law enforcement resources tracking the activist so it could pull her over away from embarrassing video of the arrest?

Compare and contrast: Capitol Lynch Mobbists v Panty tosser; LPD v. PCSO

I want to give some credit to the Lakeland Police Department. This is a very, very difficult time to be a police officer — especially one who wants to do a fair and impartial job of enforcing law.

I think LPD and its leadership are trying hard to act as a neutral referee in the toxic “culture” war unleashed in the last few years. It doesn’t mean they always get it right. I wouldn’t always get it right either. But my conversations with lots of different people (including vulnerable people) suggest to me the LPD is trying to make the best of impossible situations.

Grady Judd’s Sheriff’s Office is not. And our state politicians are not.

As the Nolte felony case and the panty felony case show, all that matters to Grady Judd is who you are, not what you do.

Indeed, there are active fugitives from Polk County and Grady Judd’s political base, who are accused of committing real violence against police officers and American government during the Capitol Lynch Mob. Grady Judd couldn’t care less. See below:

Judd’s office has now expended far more time and effort tracking a woman accused of tossing a panty than it has hunting for the Pollock family domestic terrorism fugitives.

Did Canady bully you into this garbage arrest, Grady? Does she wear your green pants? You can tell me.

We, the decent, normal people, didn’t want this war on the bodies of our loved ones. Jennifer Canady and Colleen Burton and Grady Judd and Marilyn Paul did.

But it’s here. And PantyGhaziGate offers a fascinating look at the battlespace.

Floridians, like Americans, overwhelmingly oppose Canady’s forced-birth brutality. Note the poll below of Republicans:

Sixty-one percent of state Republican respondents said they oppose banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy with no exceptions for rape or incest, and 34 percent said they support such restrictions.

An anti-forced birth Democratic woman just flipped the historically Republican Jacksonville mayorship blue.

To state the obvious, the brutal and intrusive state power mechanisms required to impose forced birth after six weeks on the entire Florida health care system dwarf tracking down a panty-tossing activist. To impose the kind of brutality Canady demands on such an unwilling population requires extreme government repression — as is on display in the womanhunt growing out of this case.

The forced birthers haven’t given any thought to that reality — because governing is always someone else’s problem in GOP Florida. And neither Canady nor Burton nor Paul nor Judd are serious people. They do not think about the consequences of their bullshit, ever. Yet, I suspect Grady, at least, is starting to realize the brutality is all going to fall on him.

Power mad as he is, I suspect even Grady Judd doesn’t relish the thought of becoming king of all maternity care. That’s a good way to make people hate you. And Grady is needy for love. I doubt he’s looking forward to the parades of girls and women kneeling before his throne, begging him to allow termination of their unadjudicated rape/incest pregnancy as a clock ticks or to protect them from the health fallout of miscarriage or unviable fetuses.

Canady’s law dumps this on you, Grady, as you know. You better publish the protocols soon.

This silly arrest actually illustrates how squeamish all of this makes Judd. Why? Because Jennifer Canady is out talking shit about it; he’s not.

That lends credence to the theory that Canady, theoretically in line to become Speaker of the House in the distant future, bullied Grady and his agency into acting against Bonnie Patterson-James in a way it refuses to against the Pollock J6 fugitives.

So perhaps Canady is the new real sheriff in town, owned by her Supreme Court justice husband and the Lakeland Christian School board of directors, to which she has sworn an oath of tortured Biblical literalism that supercedes her oath to the public. (If you need to talk, Grady, about how surrendering your manhood to Canady makes you feel, I’m a good listener. Give me a call.)

Grady’s unwillingness to match Canady’s bravado about sticking it to a panty-tosser illustrates how unwilling he is to publicly explain how he’s going enforce and fight Canady’s war on pregnancy. And we’ll see if State Attorney Brian Haas has the guts to take the activist to trial for felony panty battery. I suspect Haas is too busy trying to keep an innocent man in prison; but who knows?

It’s also telling that Grady himself managed not to attend the forced-birth event, a ribbon-cutting for Marilyn Paul’s tax-funded snitch center. He left that “guest” duty to the burly deputy wounded by the panties. If Grady wanted to be there, he would have been there.

We live in a really stupid, unpopular, gross, weak dictatorship of fake Christian politicians. They are unworthy of respect. Mock them relentlessly.

We citizens have to acknowledge official power. And we have to obey it, even when it lies and cheats and brutalizes, unless we are willing to endure personal consequences for disobeying immoral official power. Personal consequences are often the point of civil disobedience against unjust power. (In this case, I think a civil citation or even misdemeanor “disorderly conduct” notice to appear might be an appropriate consequences to the “crime,” if similar standards are enforced for everyone, which they are not.)

However, no one is required to respect official power.

Polk County’s fake Christian dictatorship, which hates panty tossers, but not Capitol Lynch Mob fugitives, is unpopular on the ground and brittle. It is completely unworthy of respect. It lies and hides. Mock it. Tell it to talk to the hand. Reduce it to nothing but the raw power of official position.

And make it do stupid, repulsive things like this.

Grady Judd cannot legally arrest you for laughing at how easily panties triggered him and his tough burly deputy. You can laugh at anything that comes out of Jennifer Canady’s mouth. If she’s talking, she’s lying, and you can laugh at that, roll your eyes at it, or speak to her about it in Publix — at least until she tries to get you fired for it, like her husband did all those years ago.

The people wielding power in Polk County today, by and large, are completely unworthy of respect. Their public behavior is endlessly revealing of their personal weakness. And they hate to have that rubbed in their face because they know it’s true.

That’s a weapon. Use it.

Endless moral war until there’s a just peace

Somehow these fake Christian politicians think the day is going to come when we simply accept their gross government fingers reaching into the bodies of our loved ones; monitoring every pregnancy; meddling in all maternity care; criminally investigating the creation of life if “God” chooses to end it; choosing rapists rights to procreate over a victim’s right to survive and heal.

I told you all, when Roe fell, that it was the end of peace — an unsatisfactory arrangement in which Marilyn Paul’s abortion snitch center could compete openly and (somewhat) fairly with the clinic next door. Indeed, two years ago, an ocean of lies ago, I had a very different position on Marilyn’s snitch center.

Then the corrupt U.S. Supreme Court, DeSantis, Canady, and Judd, et. al. broke the peace. See article below.

So, here we are, just like I said we were, facing a deeply unpopular government war on pregnancy and maternity care and women’s bodies that will require vicious, comprehensive, massively expensive law enforcement action to wage.

Weaponized panties are the least of it; but the official brittleness and cowardice on display in PantyGhaziGate shows how miserable this war going to make power until it agrees to reasonable terms.
