I think it's unlikely that any Dem can win that seat this time around just because of partisan voting patterns. But I think an anti-forced birth GOPer could primary her and have a good shot. Also, the real prize to look for here is losing the speakership. Without Charles and the speakership, she's just another Colleen Burton.
I don’t think you’re wrong considering only 20 something percent of Dems showed up at the polls this past cycle. I have been VERY LOUD with her office she even pushed through the bill that benefits Mosaic HB 1191. Canady has done nothing but drag Polk County into a deeper domain of far right wing extremism. If I remember correctly she only won with less than 20k votes. Someone has to actually call her out and challenge her for that seat.
Well somebody is -- Bonnie Patterson James. And she deserves respect for that. I think she’s likely to run into the difference between activism and campaigning. She’s very effective at generating pressure -- as are you. And that pressure matters a lot even if the voting patterns make it hard to actually win
I'm pro-life and I think 6 weeks is too strict. Politically speaking for certain. Many women don't know they're pregnant at 6 weeks. Never been a fan at all of Charles Canady. He's a Yale law graduate and couldn't answer a very simple question I threw at him on the Constitution US. Now he's Chief Justice in Florida. More political insiders. A populist Democrat could win. But Democrats would rather see another Donald Trump than reform their party in any way. The only thing they hate worse than Donald Trump are their own working class voters who supported them for years.
Life begins at the point that a separate set of Chromosomes form. So with all the available birth control there is no reason to murder the baby. That said I’m talking about what is politically and socially feasible and sensible. But morally I’m for forcing the baby not to be killed as soon as possible. Don’t want to hear this you’re a man crap. Women oarticipate in decisions that seriously impact men’s lives alll the time.
"Don't want to hear this you're a man crap." LOL. Give me the week at which you'er pro forced birth. Women are much more likely to die in birth than abortion so you anti-life for actual existing women. Own it.
So what. If the woman decides to have the baby, the man is FORCED to work for 18 to 22 years. Life is hard. Of course that's why our traditional way of sexual morality worked out so well, before the Left blew it to hell. Yes, there were problems. Always will be with sexuality. But that's what the left does. Highlight the negatives, many legitimate, and in this case LITERALLY throw the baby out with the bath water. Blowing up society with no credible answers is the stock in trade of the far left.
“A man is FORCED to work for 18-22 years...” is an absolutely absurd argument when many dip-out of the parental responsibilities emotionally, physically and financially. An entire class of humans (zygotes) according to the FL Supreme Court, is being held outside of constitutional protection upsets me greatly because it ignores the living, breathing and tax paying individuals that are being FORCED to go to term. It’s a no-win for the unwanted child born. $25 million to faith-based (fake) clinics that offers zero parental training, skill training nor future support to ensure this forced birth has a future! It’s despicable that M/M Canady, M/M Stargel (both from Polk County) have created this reproductive maze for Floridians!
Thank you for mentioning my campaign and standing up Floridians. I was in Tallahassee Friday as well.
We need an authentic opponent to run against Canady. I believe with enough attention there could be a good fight for the seat.

Keep making Jennifer Canady a liability to the GOP and to power in Florida and good things can follow

There is no such thing as "pro-life," only "pro forced birth" and when. So tell at what point in pregnancy you're in favor of forced birth.
