Lakeland/Polk's government of, by, and for indulgent inheritance "wingmen" is an embarrassing dead end. We should try to work together to accomplish real goals and address real problems instead.
Well I went to church with the "harrels" All the branches. Never cared for them. My Mother would go visit the Harrell grandmother. She was so sweet. But that was in the 1965-1980 and times were very different but they were still snobs. And that was when the "cool table" was at LHS.
Off-topic, but looking at that PPP screenshot, why would a health-care staffing company need a bailout in the middle of a pandemic when there were allegedly never enough people to do the work of caring for patients? #InquiringMinds❓
That quote about you being a racist is probably one of the top five most unbelievable things I have ever seen in print in my life. I got one of those mailers and nearly fell out in the road by my mailbox. That is all you need to know about this whole cabal. If the Democrats actually ran a real progressive candidate against Scott Franklin I would vote for him or her. Not an establishment Democrat hack or somebody who is running against white people. But a true progressive. A "Jimmy Dore" Democrat so to speak. And they might get a surprising amount of support. Polk County should be more competitive than ever for Democrats. When Democrats figure out that running against white working people and running on behalf of Global corporations is a loser, they'll do better at the local level.
