Billy, what do you make of the fact that Sheriff Grady Judd posted a bid and contracted with Flock Safety to install surveillance cameras throughout Polk County (at least 60 for 5 years, with the option to extend the 5 year contract up to 5 years, and the option to purchase additional cameras without reposting a bid) in August 2020, then again in October 2020 immediately following the 2020 summer protests? The contract was awarded in January 2021. All while refusing the communities pleading for body cameras?
As far as I can tell, there was no public notice given about these cameras being installed throughout the county on county property, and no permits were filed to install these cameras on public property, although it appears there should have been permits filed.
