The Lakeland 4's lynch mob viciously, unjustly, joyfully attacked the sovereignty of fellow citizens. Five brave Capitol Police who fought them for us are dead. This community should disapprove.

Well said, Billy. I'd been thinking similar thoughts about how the possible negative consequences for public disapproval could outweigh any positive impact from disapproval. I suspect that there's an undercurrent of disapproval, but in order for it to rise to the surface, ordinary citizens need our public leaders to show the moral fiber to take a disapproving stance. I know you've reported on Grady a good bit; have the other Lakeland public officials ever expressed an opinion one way or the other?
