I agree that arresting someone for throwing a pair of underpants is absurd, BUT using a pair of underpants as a "weapon" is moronic and holds the prochoice movement up to ridicule. Battery is the intentional striking of another , his arrest affidavit literally stated it bounced and touched him. The States Attorney then changed the charge to disturbing a lawful assembly to cover this clear abuse of power and limit her ability to seek recompense.
These types of arrest are not uncommon in Polk County Florida. The Sheriffs office is corrupt. The courts corrupt. Free speech is penalized. A coward who hides behind a badge and a gun is hero worshipped in this backwoods backwards ass county. And I say that as a lifetime resident it’s a shame that people accept this hate filled fear monger . Who celebrates the murder of petit criminals .

We need to get enough signatures to get the amendment on the ballot and I don't think this sort of behavior encourages allies. What in the world did she think was the upside to her prank? All she did was give Grady the opportunity to hitch up his britches and show his dictator side. The publicity is not good for either of them.
