Lake Wales city commissioner, Keith Thompson, posted a picture of the sign on his Facebook page. “I wish we could stop

I had to turn around to make sure I saw what thought I saw…

I’m a first amendment advocate and defender, but I’m also personally aware of how much responsibility my rights come with.

So to whoever has done and is doing this, I know you have a RIGHT to do this…

But you also have a responsibility to kindness and civility.

And I know, “I don’t know the whole story.”

But I don’t really need to because my faith tells me to “turn the other cheek”, and “love your enemies, and bless those who curse you.”

So I beg you, take these down as soon as possible!”

The city commissioner posted a picture of the sign showing her name.

I know her - She said every time they take the signs down, he puts more up. Her family is afraid for her.
